At our webinar, we discussed how we can use the 7 Pillars of Positive Resilience to thrive, not just survive, whatever issues we are facing. We issued a challenge at the end of the webinar: Pick a day, pick a Pillar of Positive Resilience.
There are 7 Pillars of Positive Resilience. Pick a day of the week, and one of the Pillars, and try something new on that day to develop that Pillar of Positive Resilience. Pick something manageable and sustainable e.g., reflecting on what’s important to you, trying 5 minutes of deep breathing or mindfulness, or reaching out to someone you haven’t seen for a while. For other ideas, check out our blog posts on Positive Resilience.
To make the challenge more impactful, try doing it for 7 weeks, picking a different Pillar of Positive Resilience each week.
At the end of the 7 weeks, reflect back on what has worked well and what hasn’t. What will you do more of, and what else will you try? Let us know in the comments how the challenge has gone for you.
If you’d like to learn more about the 7 Pillars of Positive Resilience, join our presentation at the ABP conference next week where we’ll go into more detail on the research supporting them, our experience on the impact of developing them, and run a short exercise on one of the Pillars. All attendees to this session will be given one free report from our Positive Resilience Profiler psychometric, which will provide a detailed assessment of your current Positive Resilience and personalised development suggestions.
