Understanding PsyCap Potential

Working in the Learning and Development (L&D) space, much of my time has been devoted to creating large-scale, bespoke learning solutions for different organisations, with unique needs, cultures and challenges. I love using my knowledge of psychology and behaviour science to design engaging learning experiences for people from all walks of life. However, reflecting on what I find most invigorating about my work is the impact I can create. The more I interact with people the more it reaffirms my passion for helping individuals unlock their potential, having those 1:1 conversations, witnessing their “eureka” moments, and observing their personal growth over time.

Joining Peoplewise has allowed me to diversify my work, striking a balance between design, large group engagements and meaningful, 1:1 interactions. As part of my onboarding process, I completed the PsyCap Potential assessment, one of Peoplewise’s award-winning psychometric tests, accredited by the BPS and received personal feedback. This experience was truly transformative, providing me with deep insights into my strengths and development areas. The PsyCap Potential assessment gave me a language to articulate my strengths and identify areas for growth, ultimately empowering me with actionable insights to enhance my performance and achieve my stretch potential.

The PsyCap Potential assessment measures five psychological capabilities consistently associated with the top 12.5% of global managers and leaders:

Mental Agility: The ability to study, analyse, and understand new problems and situations.

Emotional Agility: Personal and interpersonal effectiveness.

Confidence: The drive to take on and succeed at new and challenging tasks.

Resilience: The capacity to bounce back and grow from challenges and adversity.

Drive: The determination to strive for success.

These developable capabilities have given me a roadmap to refine my development areas, leverage my strengths, and significantly impact my personal growth and professional contributions.
