A FTSE 100 company wanted to bring rigour and objectivity to the assessment and development of its senior leadership talent population. It had identified the need to more robustly differentiate performance from future stretch potential and create a future-proof talent pipeline, able to deliver the strategic intent and address future market challenges.


We consulted with key stakeholders to identify the critical requirements of the future leadership population. These were mapped to the predictors of future stretch potential and behavioural performance capabilities.

The result was a model of performance and potential that would identify and develop leaders with the psychological and behavioural capabilities to deal with volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) environments.
